Footscray Rugby Union Football Club

Footscray Rugby Union Football Club is one of Victoria's oldest Rugby Union clubs and has been established since 1928 supporting both 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade teams, Colts and Juniors, winning several premierships and producing 5 Wallabies (Australian Representatives) along the way.
Located at the Henry Turner reserve, next to the Victoria University and Footscray Park, we are the only rugby club in the Western area of Melbourne in the Victorian State Competition run by the VRU (Victorian Rugby union).
The last few years Footscray has played in both A & B grade Grand Finals and was awarded the Premier 1, Division 2 Grand Final trophy in 2008 along with 5 representatives in 2009 in the Victorian State squad
With the Melbourne Rebels Super 15 team starting in Melbourne in 2011 as part of the Southern Hemisphere rugby tournament across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, 2010 will be a huge development year of players vying for positions into the Super 15 squad.
Footscray Rugby Union Football Club is also the proud home of the Melbourne Chargers.
