Membership Details
Becoming a full financial member of the club is a way of showing your support for a Rugby Union Club that aims to:
- Create a rugby team where players and supporters feel comfortable regardless of sexual orientation or other differences.
- Attract a new population of players and supporters to the sport of Rugby, increasing the diversity of the sport.
- Create a welcoming and encouraging learning environment for all players.
- Contribute to the promotion and development of the sport of Rugby Union in Victoria.
- Provide a new and diverse social opportunity for same-sex attracted people in Victoria.
Full club membership includes:
- Subscription to the Monthly Chargers Newsletter.
- Ability to register as a player (registration fees apply).
- Right to vote at the Club’s Annual and Special General Meetings.
- Right to stand for election for position as office holder.
- Plus a whole lot more member benefits to be announced.
How to apply for membership
To join the club as a full member, simply download and complete the Membership Form [pdf],
and return to us along with the membership fee (address and payment options below). Once your membership application has been received and payment has been
processed, you will receive a letter confirming your membership, and a membership card that you will be
able to use to access Melbourne Chargers events, discounted club merchandise and that will act as
your proof of membership.
Membership fees are AU$20.00 and the membership year begins in October. Dues go towards paying expenses such as insurance, advertising and administration costs.
