Rugby 101 CANCELLED
Sorry folks, as Rugby players we might be hard but we’re not amphibious. Albert Park is a washout and there is more rain on the way so we’ve had to make the call to cancel Rugby 101 for today.
The Beer Bust at Sircuit however is ON rain, hail or shine! 5pm at Sircuit. (we can do some shuttle runs on Smith Street to make up for the 101 cancellation!)

Chargers Rugby 101 is a chance for you to experience a taste of the Chargers and Rugby in general. Whilst the day is designed for people with little-no rugby experience, the presentations and activities will also benefit those who do have rugby experience.
Rugby 101 is an opportunity for you to come and check out the Chargers – No strings attached. Come and have a go, meet the guys and decide whther you might want to join the team.
Here is what you can expect:
- A brief introduction to the fundamentals of Rugby
- Basic rugby drills & activities (aimed at participants with little experience if any) – limited contact
- Introduction to current players, coaches & managers
- A team building activity
- Presentation on the history & future of the Melbourne Chargers
- Q&A Session
- Social BBQ & Drinks at conclusion
You should bring:
- Appropriate clothes for physical activity – shorts, t-shirt, runners
- A towel
- Sunscreen
- Bottle of water
- A friend – the more the merrier!

Followed later in the evening with the Chargers Beer Bust @ Sircuit.
